Fixing The Road

If It’s God’s Will, It’s God’s Bill: Building More Than Roads in Sous-Rigole

There’s a phrase we’ve come to hold onto deeply:
If it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill.

We were facing two major challenges that directly impacted the safety and daily life of our community.

Building Safety: The Wall Around the Campus

We had begun the process of building a fence around the campus. Without it, the space remained open. Animals would wander in, and it was difficult to maintain a clean, safe environment for the children.

But step by step, things started moving.

Through a generous donation, we were able to begin construction. Today, one side of the four walls is already halfway complete. It’s more than just a physical structure; it represents protection, dignity, and a foundation for growth.

We are getting closer to the day when the campus will truly become a secure and respected space for the community.

From Mud to Movement: Fixing the Road

If you’ve ever seen the road leading to Sous-Rigole, you know how difficult it was, especially during heavy rain.

There were days we couldn’t even drive to the campus. At one point, we had to park our four-wheel drive truck halfway and walk the rest of the journey.

Then something incredible happened.

Friends, people who love God and love Haiti, stepped in. They didn’t just offer words; they took action. They contacted a road-building company and funded the construction of a real dirt road.

For the first time, we could reliably reach the campus, even during the rainy season.

The impact was immediate.

On one trip, as we brought 25 bags of cement to continue the work, people in the community looked on and said,
“Bon travay, Pastè.” — “Good job, Pastor.”
But in our hearts, we passed that praise onto the people who made it possible. And ultimately, to God.

A Community Effort, A Shared Mission

None of this happened in isolation.

From those who gave generously, to those who showed up to work, to those who prayed and supported from afar—this is a shared story.

We are deeply grateful to every person who contributed, including those who gave sacrificially to make these projects possible.

You’ve helped us:
  • Build safer spaces for children
  • Improve access to education
  • Strengthen an entire community
And we’re not done yet.

Looking Ahead

Work continues.

We are finishing the plastering in the kitchen. The wall is progressing. The vision is becoming reality, one step at a time.

There are still delays, still challenges, but we wait patiently, trusting in what God is doing in Sous-Rigole.

With Gratitude

To everyone who has supported Haiti Community Outreach, thank you.

You may not always see the full impact of what you’ve done, but it’s there. In every child who walks safely into the campus, in every vehicle that can now reach the community, in every voice that says, “Bon travay.

We carry your generosity with us every day.

Trusting Him,
Raymond & Gina
